Flasher Indicator Sounder - EN81:20 Beacon (FIS)
The Flasher indicator sounder (EN81:20 BEACON (FIS)) is for use as a warning device in the lift pit, on the top of the shaft, or it can also be used under the lift car.
The Lester Controls in-shaft and under-car audible and visual units are designed to alert engineers working in the lift pit of a moving lift car.
This forms part of the European standards EN81-20 and EN81-50 relating to lift safety requirements. One of the compulsory requirements is to have an audible signal at the car and a flashing light under the car being activated during movement. The loud 95dB sounder can be heard over most power tools, used by lift engineers and installers. When combined with the bright red or green flashing lights, it becomes the perfect device to assist in protecting engineers from accidents.
